when CSR Construction Materials ended nearly a century of dolerite extraction on the site

producing around 100 bread varieties from a 65-foot oven before the building was abandoned and ultimately demolished

The building served as Asahi Elementary School from 1975 to 1983, then as a public lodging facility operated by Yubari Kanko Kaihatsu until 2006, when it was abandoned as the city entered fiscal rehabilitation.
