Description

were originally brought to Peru from Spain

The tradition began in the early 1930s with Georges Liataud's imaginative cemetery crosses crafted from recycled metal

A piece of Peruvian turquoise is suspended inside a three-dimensional diamond-shaped frame to form the enchanting Turquoise Spell Earrings

This bright Prism Wood Frame is handcrafted from dyed wood pieces by artisans working with our fair trade partner Tara Projects in India

Oceanic Echoes Earrings 4040 were originally brought to PeruRichly shaded in blues and greens, these delicate, wafer thin earrings are made from capiz, the thin shell of a marine mollusk. First artisans wash and soak shells. After the shells have dried, they are cut into shapes and edged with metal wire. A finishing coat of varnish completes this labor intensive process. Before glass windows became available in the Philippines, capiz was used for windows in houses.
