JP BALL Civil War Soldier / Surgeon by Famous Black Photographer Ohio 1860s Rare museum He referred to himself asOriginal CDV Appears to be a US Army surgeon, taken by the noted African American Photographer J. P. Ball, with is Cincinnati, Ohio blind stamp (30 W. 4th) in the lower left corner. Based on other ID'd photos in the album this was found in, it's very possible he was Harvey Bradley, surgeon, 89th Ohio Infantry, but more research would need to be done since he's not identified on the image.
