We obtained this plant some years ago as an offset from a grower in California who said that this was a bigeneric hybrid between a Hechtia and a Dyckia. We grew it for some years before it finally flowered and could see no trace of Dyckia in the plant and so we reported this back to the grower. He said that he had never bloomed it yet and that he guessed that the cross didnt take! Oh well, so this is
